A bit late in the news but still cinder-hot is the announcement from consumer graphics technology leaders NVIDIA which introduced two new players into the graphics solutions market. And as you can tell, they aren't the biggest ever. In fact, one of them has been spun over the rumor mill a few times before. The second is a new entry with some promise to get the lower end machine hopping onto the mid-level powerhouse range. Details at the full story. |

This is what our radars have pinged upon gazing at Amazon and GameStops game lists. According to these online game retail hot spots, Crytek's addition to Crysis' plot progression (though it's like filling in the gaps, really) can be had at no more than three copies of Spore Creature Creator. Or one Bling Gnome pack of Dungeon Runners and a Spore Creature Creator retail edish. In short, shell 30 bucks, and Crysis Warhead is yours. Just a few more bits follow at the full story. |

Still coming off from that Day of Defeat: Source weekend bash, eh? Well, it's time to shake off the dirt, snow, and what-have-yous for an otherwise relaxing week, as the incoming games trumpet news for casual (and more or less addicted) gamers. Electronic Arts is making the cutesy, Anime-ish Sims adaptation on the Wii and DS available on the PC, and that could be a good or bad thing for households with just one gaming PC available. Hopefully, MySims is good news, for fun's sake. Details at the full story. |

The CEO and President of Crytek, Cevat Yerli, revealed that Crysis: Warhead will be quite playable on a € 400 (around US$ 621) PC, even on high settings. Now, by playable, we mean 30 frames per second...not exactly the best frame rate for power PC games, but far better than we were expecting. As advocates of rewarding legitimate PC game customers instead of punishing them, Stardock has more than once stirred the gaming populace's apprehensions over PC gaming's pitfalls and it's alleged links to piracy. Today is no exception. The publishers behind the non-copy protected Strategy First's Galactic Civilizations, GalCiv 2, and top seller Sins of a Solar Empire from Ironclad Games, talked down more on blame piracy, and why even Microsoft shouldn't be at fault either. |
