Duke Nukem Forever may have been banished to development hell, but the Duke's story isn't done. Aside from Apogee and Deep Silver's Duke Nukem Trilogy for the PSP and DS, Apogee says that 2K Games is also working on another Duke Nukem game.

3D Realms is now denying that they received an offer from Take-Two Interactive for the IP of Duke Nukem Forever. Rumors swirled last week that US$ 30 million was put on the table, but the devs are saying that these are all just that - rumors.

True enough, Apogee Software's Duke Nukem announcement did come along this week! And do we hear of anything about the status of Duke Nukem Forever? Why, of course not! And what's the big announcement? They're holding auditions for a live-action Duke Nukem model to strut around the country and market Duke's upcoming games!

So 3D Realms has shut down, thus making everyone believe that Duke Nukem Forever's gone back to the hole it once crawled out from. But if Apogee Software COO Terry Nagy is to be taken for consideration, we may here some word about the official status of DNF next week. It's either that or we get hear about the handheld trilogy set to come out for the PSP and DS.

As if to show the Duke's fans what they've been missing out on for years, a video surfaces with gameplay footages from notorious vaporware Duke Nukem Forever. It's a bloody futuristic FPS, featuring the attitude and the nudity - all in Duke Nukem fashion. Check it out.

When Slash000 paid US$ 10 to pre-order Duke Nukem Forever through his local GameStop, little did he know that he would have to wait 12 years to wait for an answer. Unfortunately for him, the answer might be a disappointing "no" now that 3D Realms has run out of money and can no longer continue the game's development.

Just when you thought Duke Nukem Forever was finally gonna claw its way out of the vaporware bin (seriously, did anybody really think it would?), here comes what could be the final nail in the game's coffin: developer 3D Realms has reportedly shut down.

It's been more than a decade since Duke Nukem Forever was revealed, but years have passed, and we've heard little about 3DRealms' highly anticipated project. Rumors that played from technological problems to loss of interest soon plagued the game, and it became apparent that ol' Duke was soon to be disintegrated by time. The developer has lately maintained that the project was back on track, but where's the proof? We tell you right now, the proof is right here. We've just managed to pick up a couple of more screenshots for 3D Realm's upcoming Duke Nukem Forever title.

Funny how the past catches up pretty quick with a game popularly pegged "forever-in-development." News from the press waves has just filled us in to a deal that happened between Take-Two Interactive and GT Interactive which evidently granted the rights of publishing Duke Nukem Forever to the holders of the 2K Games brand.
