We had E3, then GamesCom, then PAX is coming up next, and then right after that, we have Tokyo Game Show! It's events season alright, and every time we can't wait to see what the pubs and devs are bringing along with them to show off to us. Capcom's got their list down pat already, so it seems. Via their Unity twitter, they've announced that they have "several" new game announcements in store. It sure is nice to see that they're always kept busy for our entertainment.

Just last month, Ubisoft gave out a wishy-washy statement regarding Beyond Good & Evil 2. Today, Gamersyde has tweeted that they have indeed gotten confirmation from the recently-concluded GamesCom in Cologne that the game is indeed on hold.

Here's a treat for all you Final Fantasy buffs out there. We've got not one, but two videos featuring Final Fantasy XIV (PlayStation 3 and PC) fresh out of GamesCom 2009 from Square Enix.

The latest to announce their lineup for next week's GamesCom event is developer and publisher Capcom. One game that they're highlighting is Lost Planet 2 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360), the PS3 version of which will be making its worldwide debut at the event. See the rest of Capcom's lineup after the jump.

Bethesda has listed down the titles it'll be bringing to this month's GamesCom event in Cologne. Included in the Bethesda lineup are Splash Damage's Brink and Artificial Mind and Movement's Wet. Details after the jump.

The newly formed Square Enix Europe has announced the games they'll be bringing to this year's GamesCom event. The list consists of games from both Square Enix and Europe and includes such titles as Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). Four different Final Fantasies are also part of the showcase.

Housemarque, the Finnish development studio behind Super Stardust HD, has revealed that they currently have three new game IPs in the works. The studio also plans to try their hand at self-publishing with one of their new IPs, Rope.

Planning to make a trip down to Leipzig for the Games Convention? Then you might want to take note of recent events, as it's just been confirmed that next year's GC will in fact be taking place in Cologne. Featuring a bigger event site and more convenient accommodations, it seems that this event has gotten too big for Leipzig to handle. More details at the full article.
