Screenshots of Project Origin from Monolith Productions - Image 1New screenshots coming in for F.E.A.R. sequel Project Origin. No in-your-face flesh-torn-off creatures here, but Alma, the creepy little girl, is still present with her creepy bangs hiding her darling little eyes. You'd think she'd have learned how to comb by now. This batch of screenshots feature Delta Force in a kill or be killed situation. Unfortunately the latter is always true at one point or another. Alma - Image 1As was reported last June, Monolith Productions sent word to the gaming community that they were looking for a new name for the upcoming sequel to their F.E.A.R. FPS for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. We've just picked up word that as of today, the developer have tabulated the votes for the winning entry: Project Origin.

As previously reported, Project Origin is to be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Monolith Producer Troy Skinner expressed his team's happiness regarding the new name:

Our team really enjoyed letting the fans drive the naming process, and we are excited to expand upon the work we began in the original game and establish Project Origin as a premier gaming franchise in its own right.

Project Origin will take off where the F.E.A.R.: Extraction Point expansion leaves off. Players will find themselves racing against the clock in this supernatural suspense-themed FPS as they attempt to prevent Alma, a powerful psychic, from wreaking havoc on a major American City. Drop back in case we pick up more details for the sequel.
