If Activision's internal estimates are to be believed, then the much-hyped, much-anticipated launch of Modern Warfare 2 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC was successful as it was planned out to be, selling five million copies on its first day in North America and the UK combined.

Good news, PS3 owners. DICE and Electronic Arts have officially set a date for Battlefield: Bad Company 2's PS3 beta: November 19. PC gamers, on the other hand, will get in on an open beta in December.
