mw2 - Image 1A new leaked footage of Modern Warfare 2 (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) has circulated around the net earlier indicating that the game might feature a third person viewpoint. Well low and behold, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has stepped up to clear the air and confirmed the big news to everyone. According to Bowling, the third-person mode will only be available in private matches. More after the break.

Petitions have edged close to 90K signatures mark, but it doesn't seem like that's going to change anything soon. Dedicated servers won't be coming back, but they do have something to take its place.

mw2 - Image 1Infinity Ward was suppose to offer a full cooperative play for Modern Warfare 2's (PS3, Xbox 360, and PC) story mode, but decided to drop it in the last minute because it ruined the experience. So instead of a full co-op mode, the devs decided to include Spec Ops mode. Check it out after the jump.

Modern Warfare 2 - Image 1We still don't have any word on how high those night vision goggles will jack the Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition up (my guess: a LOT), but Infinity Ward's Robert "fourzerotwo" Bowling has revealed the price point for the goggles-less Hardened Edition.

**Update** The Prestige Edition has been priced as well.
