We've heard about Time Warner Cable and World of Warcraft connectivity issues before, but this new ISP issue is packing smoke. Subscribers of Tiscali are disgruntled at the apparent blocking of peer-to-peer (P2P) connections by their ISP. Even multiplayer connectivity is also hampered, as complaints roll in from players on EVE Online, CoD4, and ET: Quake Wars.

  

Due to copyrighting protection, those who bought BioShock for the PC a bit earlier than its release date won't be able to run the game prior to its street date of August 21.

According to Tiscali Games, someone tried to install the game yesterday, only to get the message that says "BioShock is not available until August 21. Please uninstall your copy of BioShock and reinstall on or after that date." Even if you happen to be one of those lucky enough to snag an early bird copy of the game in Toys R Us, you would have to wait before you can play the game on PC. People who got BioShock for the Xbox 360, however, will be able to play the game without any hitches before the street date.

For those who were wondering why the game is still blocked despite owning a legal copy, this is part of the copyrighting process that requires activation through Take-Two's game authorization server. In any case, August 21 is only few days away, so if you already have the copy of BioShock PC you might as well play another game for the meantime.
