Cycling enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the release of Cyanide Studios' Pro Cycling Manager: Tour De France 2007 now has something to whet their appetites on: the very first trailer of the game, and from the looks of things, fans have a lot to look forward to. We get you the latest on what's to expect with this highly-anticipated racing game on two wheels.
Watching the video, one would immediately notice the ridiculous amount of things going on in the screen - all at the same time. There's the actual environment that's gloriously detailed, the spectators who move and react accordingly and convincingly throughout the race, and of course - the cyclists themselves, furiously pedaling in a massive group that's just stunningly realistic, you'd actually wait for someone to crash and see what would happen. We also see some very in-depth customization options, with you being able to choose the kit your team will be using - down from the frame of their bikes to what helmet they're wearing. Very important for those of us who know just what they want to see in their teams. Pro Cycling Manager: Tour De France will be released for the PC and the PSP this June 20. Enough talk from us, though, enjoy the video! |

To those of you who have been following Tour de France, be informed that it's just a matter of weeks before the 94th outing officially begins. And to those who are following the video game title based on this event, know that the official website of Pro Cycling Manager/Tour de France 2007 has just been updated.
The game itself sports two major elements: management and racing. You're given the option to manage official teams like handling contracts, training camps, transfers, and equipment, and that even includes dealing with the media. In addition to all that, you will also race through the circuit with the knowledge of your team's strengths and tactics. The game is being developed by Cyanide Studio and will be published by Focus Home Interactive. Take note that Pro Cycling Manager/Tour de France is a long-running franchise, but this is actually the first time that it will be appearing on a handheld system: the PSP. This is the very reason why the two companies have been telling everyone that the PlayStation Portable version is not a port of the PC one. Tour de France 2007 PSP will feature 20 official teams and their star racers, not to mention several features like five season-long careers and modes such as time trials, sprint phases, and shorter races. |

French video game development studio Cyanide and publisher Focus Home Interactive announced today the latest addition to the Pro Cycling Manager series, Pro Cycling Manager/Tour de France 2007. The new title will be available on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) and Games for Windows (PC) platforms. Pro Cycling Manager has already gathered a following among PC gamers while this is the first time that handheld users will be able to try the game. Both versions of the game will be available this coming June 20. Aside from the racing aspect of the title, another noteworthy feature is its Management Career Mode. Cyanide said that this mode now offers a more intuitive interface, transfer system, simulation engine, and scouting tools after a significant re-working. Likewise, Tour de France 2007's Real Time Mode has also been improved given its new AI and enhanced graphics. Aside from the above mentioned, other gameplay mode will include Time Trials, Sprints, and Optimized Race Lengths. The title also sports the 20 official teams and their star cyclists as well as a five season-long careers. The screenshots included in this article are for PC but Focus Home Interactive said that they should give fans an idea of how the PSP version will look like. |
