Modern Warfare 2 - Image 1The backlash continues to rage against Infinity Ward after their announcement of having no dedicated servers nor mods to make way for the new IWNet system for the much-anticipated game's PC version. So far, try searching for its reviews online, and you'll see that it's garnered as much as 162 one-star ratings.

Left 4 Dead 2 - Image 1Electronic Arts has said their piece on the Australian ban of Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360, PC), and now Valve has acted on the action too. Counter Strike - Image 1Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's wife, Cherie, and son, Nicky, are now getting raps for being directors of Magnitude Gaming, a firm that manages semi-professional teams looking to make a name in eSports. While it's well and good that they're lending their support to a growing industry, the fire is brewing from the fact that Magnitude Gaming has run a team that plays Counter-Strike.

Mini Ninjas - Image 1Visually speaking, the cutesy, cartoony Mini Ninjas is probably as far as IO Interactive can get from their usual blood-drenched action games. While I was a bit blindsided by the game's announcement early this year, it really does grow on you after a while. If you're interested in giving this a spin, you'll be glad to know that the game's PS3, Xbox 360, and PC demos will be available this week.

Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition - Image 1 When the Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) showed up on UK retailer HMV's website, it quickly sold out. If that's not enough indication of how limited this item is, Infinity Ward community manager Robert "fourzerotwo" Bowling says that it's so limited, they won't make more even if demand is high.

Get ready to spend more money - Image 1Activision's decision to raise the suggested retail price of Modern Warfare 2 in the UK to UKŁ 54.99 (almost US$ 90) has raised a furor among gamers in the region. Former SCEE president Chris Deering recognizes that a conundrum exists: prices for blockbuster titles should be even higher in order to support the industry, but people "just don't have that kind of money."

Aaaand that's a headshot from Activision! - Image 1So a spate of chain reactions have come out, thanks to the announcement of Modern Warfare 2's (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) pricing details in UK. Let's just say it's by no means cheap, especially with the current economic situation the world has. Kinda insensitive is how Activision can be described probably at this point. But hold off on that sentiment first. Michael Pachter's got another of his two cents to shed light on the matter, and for him, it's a test. So far they're getting pretty low marks from consumers, I reckon.

Modern Warfare 2 - Image 1Thanks to Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC), UK gamers are about to have their wallets bled out dry as retailers look to hiking up their prices as well for this holiday season. As it stands, Activision's war title from the popular Call of Duty franchise is pegged at UKŁ 54.99. Converted to US dollars, that's almost a crazy US$ 90. And that's just for the regular copy, no fancy schmancy bundles yet.
