The tentative release date of Fallout 3's Game of the Year edition has just been solidified thanks to an announcement from Bethesda confirming the October 13 release date. The price points mentioned last month have also been confirmed. That's US$ 59.99 for PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and US$ 49.99 for the PC version. Of special interest to PS3 gamers are the announced release dates for the Fallout 3 DLC. Details after the jump.

With summer about to end, it's nice to know that we're getting more company for the Fall as big game titles start to emerge. Topping the list this week are two big titles, each for consoles and for the PSP handheld. Batman: Arkham Asylum is set to grace North American PS3s and Xbox 360s, while Dissidia: Final Fantasy is weaving its magic on the PSP -- both on the same day, Tuesday. The second DLC pack for Fallout 3 has been confirmed by Bethesda to be released in retail come August 25th, 2009. The said retail pack will feature Broken Steel and Point Lookout for both the Xbox 360 and PC. More details after the jump.

Bethesda has listed down the titles it'll be bringing to this month's GamesCom event in Cologne. Included in the Bethesda lineup are Splash Damage's Brink and Artificial Mind and Movement's Wet. Details after the jump.

A few more things you need to know about Mothership Zeta when she sets sail for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of Fallout 3: it is "full of the most high tech weaponry in the game." Really, Jeff Gardiner of Bethesda said so himself (game also on PS3) .

Anticipating the launch of the Mothership Zeta DLC for Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360 and PC, MTV Multiplayer asked Jeff Gardiner of Bethesda via an email interview if it would be possible to raise the level cap from the current 30. His answer: it's not advisable as it could make the game unbalanced.

Now that they've given out a rough schedule for the PS3 releases of the Fallout 3 DLC, Bethesda has turned to address the Xbox 360 and PC-playing masses eagerly awaiting the arrival of Mothership Zeta, the fifth DLC pack for the game.

When ZeniMax scooped up id Software last month, speculation started about possible collaborations between id and Bethesda almost immediately started up. Those looking for new IP from the Doom creator will have to wait a bit longer, though, as id still has their hands full.
