Back in October, Paul W.S. Anderson shared that production for the
long-planned Castlevania movie adaptation will soon go full swing. Prior to all this, it was believed that the story of the Castlevania
movie project will revolve around a knight from Transylvania hiding
from the Turkish Army in Dracula's castle. Well, you can all forget about that as the official plot of the movie has just been revealed. The plot after the jump! |

A development has just happened for the upcoming movie adaptation of the successful video game franchise Castlevania. According to horror film website Bloody-Disgusting, Paul W.S. Anderson is no longer part of the project as the director "wanted to focus" on his remake of Death Race. What happens now to the movie Castlevania? According to the said website, the new director is going to be Sylvain White and the whole script is being revamped by Ian Jeffers. One of White's latest projects is the movie Stomp the Yard while Jeffers is mostly known for his adaptation of Death Sentence featuring the actor Kevin Bacon. It should be remembered that Paul W.S. Anderson mentioned back in March of this year that he will remain actively involved in the movie adaptation no matter what happens because he has grown attached to it. It is still unclear as of now whether Rogue Pictures would want to retain some of Anderson's ideas for Castlevania. To help you decide if this development is a good thing or not, be informed that part of Anderson's plot for the movie adaptation includes a knight from Transylvania hiding from the Turkish Army in Dracula's castle. |

Check out these tantalizing images for the upcoming point-and-click adventure game Dracula: Origin from Frogwares Studios, developer of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. Once again dealing with dark mythos - such as Cthulhu in Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened - Frogware Studio and Focus Home Interactive's latest thriller puts you in Van Helsing's shoes to hunt down Count Dracula, the young man driven into murderous insanity by his wife's demise. Players will use traditional point-and-click gameplay to plow through the story, and will be buffeted to various exotic locations such as London, Egypt, Austria, and Transylvania, Dracula's famed hometown. Adding to the overall game experience is the beautifully rich, highly-detail graphics that were also present in Frogwares' past Sherlock Holmes game. Not much information is available about this video game, but do sink your teeth into these delicious screenshots to get an idea of the dark gothic atmosphere the game will have. |

If Count Dracula was paid for every game published in his name, he could probably buy Bill Gates' blood served in the most luxurious wineglass. Just today, MC2 together with Kheops Studio announced the latest installment for another Dracula franchise - Dracula 3 will be hitting the PC.Following a couple of games before it (Dracula: The Resurrection, 1999 and Dracula 2: The Last Sanctuary, 2000), Dracula 3 is from a series that sold more than 1 million copies worldwide. Another dark and gritty game, the players takes the shoes of Mgr Arno Moriani. Called the “devil's advocate”, this man is investigating in the interwar years a potential candidate for beatification in Transylvania. Few twists and turns on his adventures leads to the discovery of a "mark" found on corpses that villagers can only identify as Count Dracula's. “Fans of the Dracula series can’t wait to continue their adventure in the Count’s disturbing world. We are therefore delighted to be teaming up with Kheops Studio to launch Dracula 3”, said Emmanuel Nouaille, Editorial Director at MC2. Benoît Hozjan, CEO of Kheops Studio added, “Kheops Studio is happy to be working with a developer that has been responsible for so many great adventure games.” Not enough to wake up the fear dormant in you since childhood? Let's see you keep your pants dry with these screens. |

We know you guys were probably sitting silently in the dark, waiting for QJ to cover this portion of the recent "partial nudity" development while Dracula was asleep. But first, we'd like to clarify what exactly the partial nudity was: someone's pair of fleshy buns.
Now what Microsoft did say about the game's delay was that they were addressing installation smoothness and other technical facets of Halo 2 for Windows Vista, and not something way off key from the technical department as a bare bottom of an intern or developer. Or is that the guy behind Master Chief? Now definitely it was the ESRB that really sparked the ruckus and the same reason why Microsoft's white just turned beet-red for bearing someone's nether regions over its flagship operating system. The ESRB was claimed to be "notified" by Microsoft about a certain incident (if you can call it that) that probably might catch the eyes of unsuspecting parents. The ESRB took the image as partial nudity, asking Microsoft to bare 'Partial Nudity' upon the label of the ESRB sticker of the game. It seems though that many other sites interpreted the idea too wrongly and considered the possibility that either Master Chief forgot to slap armor over his merchandise or Cortana wasn't translucent enough. Latter would have made our day. Really. ESRB considered it another "hidden content" issue, just like that of the Hot Coffee controversy, and took steps to ensure that the game was properly labeled to inform parents that a highly popular game was coming with someone's particularly successful efforts of mooning. Thanks to Kotaku for the bottoms...err...heads up! |

While this list isn't exactly the most original of its kind, we wanted to offer our take on which mamas are the hottest in the virtual world. Everything here is subjective and any list is as good as ours. So without remorse, this is our top 10 hottest game babes to date:10. Maria Renard (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night)- The blonde hottie from Alucard's big night out may not have been seen in 3D glory and all, but the portrait was convincing enough. With her perfect complexion, killer brown eyebrows and the wavy, golden hair, she was a perfect leading lady to match with the vampiric charm of Dracula's son. 9. Mai Shiranui (King of Fighters)- Mai first appeared in the first half of the 90's in Fatal Fury 2. She immediately became one of the stars of the game for obvious reasons: She had the moves and the physique to match. Where rival bear 'em up Street Fighter II featured more conservative lady brawlers, SNK showed Mai's assets off with an innovative twist: Bouncing jubblies! Now imagine the testosterone levels in the old-school arcades more than a decade ago. 8. Aerith Gainsborough (Final Fantasy VII)- The gorgeous good girl of the legendary RPG Final Fantasy VII may have led a short and sweet character lifespan, but the fact remains that she's still one of the most beloved females in the business to date. Okay, the clothes she wore may not exactly be revealing, but we have to understand that it's how she was meant to be packaged in the first place. Imagine if she was a bit more fashion-trendy: She would have given the DoA girls a run for their money. 7. Morrigan Aensland (Dark Stalkers)- The naughty night warrior does that succubus lineage proud. She looked fantastic in 2D and had the ferocity to match. The anime spin-off of Capcom's popular Halloween fighter did her justice as she was just as charming there. Call her costume weird, but that only strengthens the convictions of her appeal. You gotta admit, not a lot of girls will look sexy in that! More ladies follow at the full article. |
