In an effort to make their nation violent videogame-free, 16 German Interior Ministers have moved to ask the Bundestag (the equivalent of parliament in Germany) for a total ban on violent video games. If approved, this won't be just your average banhammer - this is a national banhammer that even goes as far as prohibiting violent game development in the country.

The console versions of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) have been plagued by delays. Developer Ascaron Entertainment seems to have finally gotten everything in order for the game's May 12 release, but they had to pay a price for it.

German fans have reason to rejoice. Electronic Arts has clarified with Eurogamer.de that the initially reported news on Dead Space (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) being banned in Germany is not true. Read up at the full article.

Luckily, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) came up with a great idea: the Germany-based semiconductor giant has released AMD GAME! - a label akin to Game for Windows that would set standards for identifying game-capable hardware.
