We've seen a lot of announcements and teasers being released via Twitter this year. Here's another one from LucasArts. Recent entries in the LucasArts Twitter account are teasing "awesome news" for their old school fans early on Monday.

This year, fans of point-and-click adventure games will be treated to a revamped version of LucasArts' The Secret of Monkey Island which which will be released as a digital download on Xbox 360 and PC. Craig Derrick, the producer of The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, intimated to the Guardian that PS3 and Wii owners may get the game as well.

LucasArts has released more details for the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Republic Heroes game which is currently being developed by Krome Studios for PC, PS3, PSP, Wii, and Xbox 360. LucasArts Singapore is taking care of the DS version. More after the jump.

The Qmann is back in the latest issue of EGM and has a lot of juicy tidbits to grind in the old rumor mill. Some of these include updates on the rumored Max Payne 3 game that is currently in the works, and word of a new PlayStation 3 exclusive title from none other than the developers of the Grand Theft Auto series, Rockstar. A report from Venture Beat has highlighted the fact that hardly any games to feature at the upcoming E3 Media & Business Summit are PC games. Hot in the industry today is news that two technological companies have joined forces to package both animations and physics to developer companies. NaturalMotion, responsible for the motion synthesis technology in Grand Theft Auto IV, announced together with NVIDIA, new proud owners of PhysX technology, that they will offer "highly-integrated" solutions for developing games on all current generation gaming platforms, including the PC. The move to sack a hefty number of employees may be coming back to haunt publisher LucasArts. There's been word that a disgruntled employee who lost his job is out for a little payback. Information about future releases have allegedly been leaked. Know more in the full article up next.

Some industry insiders have long suspected that LucasArts may be in the process of restructuring itself. This month saw the exodus of three companies from the ranks of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). Following the trend started by Activision, Vivendi, and LucasArts, id Software of Doom and Quake fame recently confirmed that it will also be taking its leave from the video gaming group. It seems like the rumor about LucasArts leaving the ESA was actually true.
