A report from Venture Beat has highlighted the fact that hardly any games to feature at the upcoming E3 Media & Business Summit are PC games. Hot in the industry today is news that two technological companies have joined forces to package both animations and physics to developer companies. NaturalMotion, responsible for the motion synthesis technology in Grand Theft Auto IV, announced together with NVIDIA, new proud owners of PhysX technology, that they will offer "highly-integrated" solutions for developing games on all current generation gaming platforms, including the PC. Some industry insiders have long suspected that LucasArts may be in the process of restructuring itself. This month saw the exodus of three companies from the ranks of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). Following the trend started by Activision, Vivendi, and LucasArts, id Software of Doom and Quake fame recently confirmed that it will also be taking its leave from the video gaming group. It seems like the rumor about LucasArts leaving the ESA was actually true. Recent statements released by both the ESA and LucasArts confirmed that the company did indeed take its leave from the video games organization, but mentioned that it will still support the ESA's mission in the industry. We were pleasantly surprised to know that Akella Games and Litera were coming out with a new one called The Bad, the Ugly, and the Sober for the PC. Lego Indiana Jones won't include the latest Indy movie in its game plot, but perhaps we'll see different in LucasArts' new Indiana Jones game. The studio has announced that the game is now in production, but unfortunately won't be coming out this year. Check out the full article for more details.
