Sega licenses Unreal Engine 3 for unknown projects - Image 1And better yet, this is no rumor. An official statement has been worded out: Sega, the guys who've planned to go all out on game adaptations of other media franchises, have licensed the third iteration of the Unreal Engine from Epic Games for an as yet unidentified project. Epic Games acquires Chair Entertainment - Image 1Epic Games announced that it has recently acquired Chair Entertainment, the dev studio behind the Xbox Live Arcade title Undertow.

Chair's also working on a game series based on the "Ender's Game" novels, so it'll be interesting to see how this new arrangement will affect that project. More details on the acquisition are available in the full article.

AMD launches GAME! platform: hardware certification program - Image 1Remember Mark Rein's concern that not all PCs are capable of playing today's bleeding edge games? The PC Gaming Alliance was formed to relaunch the PC as the ultimate gaming platform, and but that hasn't helped much.
