Vosloo - Image 1There's no doubt that Chow Yun-Fat is doing his own character's voice in the upcoming action game Stranglehold, but light has been shed lately on who the supporting cast will be. We were thrilled with what we found out recently as top talents happen to be in the roster.

Spearheading the support cast is Arnold Vosloo. The name may not ring a bell, but if you remember the movies "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns", you know the guy because he's the mummy himself. He also played the role of the African mercenary colonel in Blood Diamond.

Randall Duk Kim from "The Matrix Reloaded" and "Enter the Matrix" is also in the mix along with other industry veterans like Grant George, David Lodge, Lydia Look, Neil Kaplan, Stephanie Sheh, Michael Sorich, Russell Wong, Danny Bernardo, Jin Kim, Phuoc Nguyen, Andrew Lee, Joseph Yau, Philip Chan, Ronal A. Cheng and Alexander Brandon.

Screenshots and videos have revealed that the game carries that distinctive and gritty atmosphere that separate John Woo's flicks from the rest. The action also seems very "Asian" with martial arts-inspired moves like kicking off walls and stylish close combat. Will Woo's film mastery along with a talented cast be complimented by an equally engrossing game? We'll see. Right now, it's safe to say that Stranglehold shows some serious promise.

In Jade Empire: Special Edition, you have to choose whether to be a good guy or a bad guy. It's a choice between going for the Way of the Open Palm or the Way of the Closed Fist.

BioWare's martial arts title will have players choose their own paths. The game's been out for a few days now and here's a treat for those who're still deciding whether to get Jade Empire: Special Edition. We have two more gameplay trailers, one featuring the Iron Palm style and the other one featuring a montage of different fighting styles.

We'll quit babbling for now and leave you to watch the videos to judge for yourselves. Enjoy!

Jade Empire means loving your neighbor with open palms

The fun martial-arts RPG for the Xbox the regular Xbox is breaking out of the console. 2K Games is publishing Jade Empire: Special Edition for the PC, and from what we've heard, it looks to be an update with more features and updated graphics.

As Jade Empire fans might remember, the game thrusts you into the character of a martial arts student training to become either a hero or a villain. In this case, players were tasked to follow either the Way of the Open Palm or the Way of the Closed Fist, both of which could be applied liberally in your quest to do good or evil.

In addition to the kung-fu action and the opportunity to woo a member of the opposite gender (or same, if you guys didn't know), Jade Empire: Special Edition will feature enhanced AI, a new playable character (Monk Zhang from the Limited Edition Xbox version) and two new fighting styles: Iron Palm Style and Viper Style. We're pretty sure you can guess which one's made for speed or for power.

While waiting for its 2007 release, don't hesitate to check out more screens we've gathered for this updated chop-socky smoochfest RPG at the full article. Enjoy!
