Darts enthusiasts listen. Today's your lucky day because Oxygen Games has just released new details about its upcoming game PDC World Championship Darts 2008 for Nintendo Wii, PC, and PlayStation 2. The game will become available in December.

Oxygen Games used genuine darts' physics, meaning different barrel weights affect a player's throws - that definitely does make the gameplay experience more realistic. The company added that for this year's iteration of the franchise, intuitive and fluid as well as accurate throwing dynamics was given emphasis.

AI was also improved. The real-life averages of real PDC players from all of the major tournaments were calculated, not to mention the fact that each in-game character has been developed with the real player in mind (throwing styles, attitudes, quirks etc.). The game also offers a career mode, featuring the seven major tournaments in the PDC calendar.

The Wii version of PDC World Championship Darts 2008 has also been made compatible with the console's motion-sensing Wiimote controller.
