Prince of Persia by Ubisoft for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and DS - Image 1Sporting a new look similar to another Ubisoft-made assassin (by the name of Altair), the new Prince of Persia (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, DS) springs into action once again on the next-gen consoles, PC, and handheld. Ubisoft has recently revealed several images of the new Prince as well as the beautifully cel-shaded environments he will be travelling in. Battle Rage is a third-person shooter that mixes in a few beat-'em-up elements into the gameplay. In the game, players control giant robots and do battle against other giant robots. These brutal skirmishes take place in carefully selected arenas. Players can choose to go lone wolf and fight alone against up to three opponents or choose to team up with a sidekick.

Each robot has its own weapons for melee and ranged combat. Additional weapon types can also be collected during arena battles. Players can customize their robots in order to fit their own fighting style, and there are a variety of new and more powerful robots that can be unlocked in the story mode.

Based on this description, Battle Rage seems highly reminiscent of Sega and FromSoftwares' Armored Core videogame series, although the character art and mech designs shown below do have a distinct semi-organic look that's different from Armored Core'sRavens. A release date has yet to be announced for Battle Rage.
