Now that id Software has been acquired by ZeniMax, the veteran game studio is using some of the extra cash by putting together a new development team. More after the jump.

A day after Bethesda launched their various Game of the Year and Deluxe packages of Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind as digital copies via Steam, then came the announcement that Bethesda Softworks and 2K Games are teaming up together to provide bundles for BioShock AND The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

We've had a few publishers whip their E3 lineups out this week, so we're starting to get a picture of all those publishers and developers packed inside the LA Convention Center next week - but hold up, a few won't cut it. There are over a hundred different companies flocking to show their goods at the Electronic Entertainment Expo - publishers, developers, retailers, game sites, and all sorts of businesses having to do with electronic entertainment. I actually did a double-take on this press release right here. Reading the title, I was like, "no way" and then "yes way" and then "whooooa." Bethesda Softworks has confirmed that the Fallout 3 DLC, which have been reaffirmed by Pete Hines to be exclusive for the Xbox 360 and PC, will now also be coming to the PS3 starting this June! And what's more is that not one - but two new DLC add-ons are planned after Broken Steel for all three platforms!

Fans of Bethesda's Fallout 3 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) will have something new to look forward to next year. No, not more DLC, but an actual new Fallout game from vets who worked on the first two games in the series (no this isn't the MMO).

By now, Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) fans are no doubt familiar with the classification troubles that Bethesda encountered in Australia. Now, if you Australian gamers out there are thinking that you'll be getting a different version from everybody else, well, that's not the case. Everybody will be getting the exact same version of Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) has only recently been cleared for release in Australia after the whole drugs debacle, but it looks like Bethesda's Pete Hines is still a bit peeved. What's a good way to hype your upcoming game? Saying that it's better than the previous game you created is one way. Noting that your previous game was a blockbuster hit both commercially and critically also helps as well. That said, Bethesda VP Pete Hines thinks Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) is going to be a better game than The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3). Somebody's been left out of the loop and will not be getting the DLC share for Bethesda's Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC). And while analysts are quick to give their opinion as to why Sony's PS3 was not counted when the DLC goodies were being given out, Bethesda itself is keeping mum.

It seems like we have good news for fans eagerly awaiting the release of the highly anticipated sequel to the Fallout series. Bethesda Game Studios' Pete Hines recently talked about the development process of Fallout 3 (PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) as well as its current production state.
