IO Interactive and Square Enix Europe (formerly Eidos) have confirmed the existence of the Kane & Lynch sequel, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. Details for the game remain scarce, but gaming blog Kotaku was able to unearth a few. Hit the jump for more on this game.

When Square Enix and PopCap Games combined their strengths to create a new game, the result was Gyromancer. The puzzle RPG was announced in TGS 2009 back in September and redefined the tried, tested, and often cloned Bejeweled. But what we didn't know was that there were other games on that negotiating table - among them, Zuma and Peggle.

When the Japanese gaming mag, Famitsu broke the news on a Final Fantasy XIV (PS3, PC) code coming with the purchase of Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360, PS3), many folks went, "Ah, beta access!" over the supposedly good news. As it turns out, it's not a beta code. Famitsu now explains that it is in fact a campaign code, and it doesn't give you access to the FFXIV beta.

On one hand, we've got PopCap Games, known for its highly addictive puzzle games that spawned clones all over. On the other, there's the prolific RPG master, Square Enix. What happens when those two team up and merge their specialties? That's where this new game comes out of - Gyromancer, a new puzzle RPG coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PC.

Today we learn new details about the one that garnered the most "WHAT??!?!?!" from this year's E3. Square Enix producer Hiromichi Tanaka gave a few minutes of his time to PS Blog's Chris Morell to dish out information on Final Fantasy XIV Online's (PlayStation 3 and PC) monsters and races, combat system, leveling system and more. Game Arts, developers of the classic RPG, Lunar, once cooked up a robot shooter game back in the day. Some of our veteran readers out there may be familiar with it, but for the rest who never got to play the game, Square Enix may be reviving this old game and giving it a fresh PS3, PSP look so that gamers of the new age can enjoy an old classic.
