For those hoping to see Two Worlds for the PS3, there's a bit of good news and bad news for you: the bad news is that Reality Pump's Two Worlds is still an exclusive title for the Xbox 360 and the PC. The good news? According to developer TopWare Interactive, its sequel, Two Worlds: The Temptation might be released for Sony's next-gen console in it's place, and it's all up to Sony to give the thumbs up.Definitely good news for PS3 owners who want to get a dose of this epic RPG title. If you can still remember, the previous rumors of a PS3 version of Two Worlds was further reinforced with the fact that the game's developer Reality Pump had acquired PS3 dev kits. It may seem to turn out that the dev kits were not meant for the first Two Worlds game. While it's a bit sad for PS3 owners not to get a PS3 version of the current Two Worlds title, getting the sequel instead may be a nice trade-off for the long wait. More updates as they come! |

The RPG genre is one of the most immersive (read: addictive) game types around - with long gameplay hours and extensive plots. Being such, RPGs can amass their own fanbases, making it a bit tricky to take a piece of the pie especially when you've got a new title. One title has piqued our interest (or at least, this writer's) and we were lucky we scored an interview with the creators. We had a chance to sit down with James Seaman, Managing Director at TopWare Interactive to talk about their upcoming video game, Two Worlds. We're sure you've been expecting some news about what's going on with the innovative RPG. Why innovative? Well, let's see... Two Worlds packs a persistent world, immense in-game environments to explore, no loading times, and other features that are surely considered new to the RPG genre. We got into a lot of things about the game like character progression, multiplayer modes for both the PC and Xbox 360 versions, and release dates. We'll quit the prattle so you can read the entire interview. It's pretty beefy, so you better keep your eyes peeled. You might find some interesting stuff in there. (Plus, Mr. Seaman's sense of humor didn't go unnoticed here at QJ Central.) Read the rest after the jump! |

Unparalleled. Unprecedented. Two words for Two Worlds, appearing on two platforms, as IGN's RPG Vault exchanges words with Topware Interactive managing director James Seaman. Unprecedented freedom in story progression. Unparalleled character customization. Sound bites for a PR, but the point of the interview is for the game's premise to prove those claims. Seaman delved into the unparalleled and the unprecedented. Character customization alone features the ability to change job classes or "careers" with minimal penalty: rather than having to back to square one as in most other games of the genre, Two Worlds allows the player to carry over some of their existing skill points from the old job into the new one. The game world lends itself to this freedom, from dynamic fighting styles and "stackable" magic system, to a living world where every decision one player makes will have an impact. Maybe part of that "unparalleled" and "unprecedented" stems from the homework done by Reality Pump. Seaman cites "lessons from other RPGs," "what the fans want," and an extensive outreach to the community as factors in both the development of and publicity for Two Worlds. So maybe it's unprecedented because, well, Reality Pump didn't want to become an Oblivion also-ran. Explains all that extra land. |

So you've seen the screens and heard of some of the features that Topware Interactive's upcoming RPG for PC, Two Worlds, will have. But come to think about it, we haven't really seen what goes behind the scenes, specifically in the game's production. That said, it shouldn't come as a surprise that this time around, that's exactly where we're taking you -- behind the scenes in the game's mo-cap session.
This vid right here should give us an inside look on the game, and let's face it -- this sure as hell beats reading about the game's delay, right? Right? So with no further ado, here's the footage of the motion capture session for Two Worlds, which is also set to be released for the Xbox360 this May. Enjoy the vid! |

Yesterday wasn't a great day for multi-platformers, or at least for Shadowrun. It was reported that the game's beta testing was delayed because of the unexpected Xbox Live downtime the other day. Anyway, as they say, past is past and today is a new today. And as for the other multiplatform game Two Worlds (X360, PC), the sunshine is turning out to be just fine.
We can actually point out a number of reasons why Two Worlds is doing perfectly okay. In fact, it will take us a good long time before we finished with that kind of stuff. But for you, just for you, we made a summary of the game's different exciting features. All the game's goodness packed into just one article, isn't that great? Also, the accompanying ten new screenshots will surely brighten up your day as well. Two Worlds was developed by SouthPeak Interactive and in collaboration with Topware Interactive. It will be available in retail stores on March 7, 2007. Features:

We told y'all that Two Worlds will be hitting shelves March 7th next year for both the PC and Xbox360, and since that'll still be quite a long wait from now, why don't we help you out in easing the pain of waiting, eh? We've just managed to get our filthy hands on four new screens for the game's PC version, and I don't know about you but I'd say Topware Interactive is doing a pretty neat job with the game so far. And thanks to these screenies, we're also given glimpses of the enemies and monsters we'll be battling against once we get our hands on the game. Some of you guys may think that this is not much of an update but hey, at least we try. Hehehe. We'll keep you posted for more, meanwhile, here are the screens. Enjoy! |

Topware Interactive has pushed the Collector's Edition envelope once again with their announcement that the tri-lingual Collector's Edition (English, French, and German) of Two Worlds (Xbox 360 and PC) will be out in the European market at € 64.99 (US$ 86) at the same time as the basic version. In addition, the Collector's Edition will also come bundled with a lot of extra goodies: a 27.6 cm long miniature metal version of the fabulous Kilgorin sword that appears in the game, a T-shirt, and a card game (55 sheets), both with the exclusive Two Worlds design, and a double-sided poster in A2 format with a beautifully-worked map and some truly amazing artwork. TopWare has also included the "Making of" DVD in the package along with a soundtrack containing a succession of atmospheric masterpieces from the master himself, Harold Faltermeyer. Those who get their hands on the Two Worlds Collector's Edition also get really comprehensive background info on the game - plus video and photo material on how Two Worlds was created. Two Worlds will be hitting retail shelves all over Europe on March 7. |

Everyone's still on the edge of their seats, waiting patiently (or at least trying to) for the release of Two Worlds. The game will be released for the PC and Xbox 360 on March next year, but even before that's done, SouthPeak Interactive has announced that they've struck a two-product publishing deal with TopWare Interactive. Together, they're going to be developing two games. The first game of which has already been mentioned above, while the second game... Well, there's no info yet, but they're still keeping an eye on the next-gen consoles. Operative word is "consoles". It's plural. That's mean we can expect the game to arrive in at least two of the four next-gen consoles (yes, the PC is considered next-gen, hence, four consoles). TopWare's Managing Director James Seaman says that they were looking for a publisher that would give their titles some aggressive promotion and distribution. And in SouthPeak's eyes, Executive Vice President Katie Morgan responds with "TopWare is creating premium games - Two Worlds is a perfect example of the passion they bring to the medium. We have immense respect for their creative vision and can’t wait to work with them." A match made in heaven? Let's hope! |
